What is Holla?
Holla is a random video chat app popular among younger users for meeting new people through short video interactions. It features swipe-style matching, filters, and effects similar to social media apps.
However, many users find themselves searching for Holla alternativesdue to several friction points:
- Social login required: Holla requires Facebook or other social media login, linking your identity to the app
- Video-only focus: The app centers entirely on video chat, no text option
- In-app purchases: Coins system encourages constant spending
- App-only: No web version available, must download
- Age verification concerns: Despite targeting younger users, moderation can be inconsistent
