How To Use This Directory
Each country page below is written for that country specifically: the local evening peak, the languages people actually open with, and the topics that get a reply. Pick a country, read its page, then use the location filter on the main chat to match there.
This directory lists every country page on Genzigs — 46 of them, grouped by continent. Country pages exist because "chat with strangers worldwide" is too broad to be useful: the best opener in Germany is a bad one in Brazil, and the busiest hour in India is the middle of the night in Mexico. Each page covers one country's timing, languages, etiquette and conversation topics, and links to its city pages where those exist.
Top Cities for Random Chat
Some countries have dedicated city pages for their largest metros. These are the most visited:
Asia
The largest time-zone spread on the site: an Indian evening, a Japanese night and an Indonesian afternoon never overlap, so each country page lists its own peak window.
Europe
Most European countries share one or two clock zones, which makes cross-border matching easy in the evening — but language and small-talk norms differ sharply from country to country.
Europe and Asia
Countries that span both continents, with chat habits and languages drawn from each side.
North America
English dominates, but time zones stretch across four hours, and the country pages note where Spanish or French is the better opener.
South America
Almost entirely Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking, with evening peaks that line up closely with North America.
Africa
A continent of many languages and one shared habit: mobile-first chatting, mostly in the local evening.
Oceania
Far ahead of the world's clocks — the New Zealand and Australian evenings arrive while Europe is still asleep.
