Know Which Call Of Duty They Mean
Call of Duty is really three games under one name: core multiplayer, the free-to-play battle royale Warzone (launched in 2020), and Zombies. A new premium title arrives most years, so 'which CoD?' is a real question. Asking a player's favourite entry quickly shows which era they grew up with.
The Map And Mode Debates
Players love arguing about:
- The best multiplayer map of all time, and whether remakes do it justice
- Skill-based matchmaking: fair or the reason lobbies feel sweaty
- Warzone's original map versus newer ones
- Which Zombies storyline was the high point
Squads And Teammates
If you're looking for a squad, give your platform, playlist and mic situation up front. Cross-play is available in recent titles, but input type (controller or mouse and keyboard) matters to a lot of players. Mention it early.
Zombies Fans Are Their Own Community
Zombies players care about maps, easter eggs and round records, and many have followed the mode's story across several games. Asking about a favourite map or a hardest easter egg is a strong opener.
Loadouts And Meta Change Constantly
Weapon balance shifts with every season, so multiplayer and Warzone players always have a current opinion on what is too strong. Ask what they are running right now rather than what was best two years ago.
Openers Call of Duty Fans Actually Answer
- "Which Call of Duty did you start with?"
- "Multiplayer, Warzone or Zombies: where do you spend the most hours?"
- "Best map ever made, no remakes allowed?"
- "Controller or mouse and keyboard, and do you play cross-play on?"
- Ask which mode: Multiplayer, Warzone, Zombies and campaign are different worlds.
- Ask about their favourite game in the series: Everyone has one, and the reasons vary.
- Keep trash talk friendly: Banter works, insults end chats.
Before You Start: One Scam To Know
Cheats, 'unlock all' tools and camo-boosting services from strangers often carry malware and lead to permanent bans. Points should only be bought in the official store.
