We look for a real person first. When nobody matching your choices is free within a few seconds, you are paired with an AI chat partner so the chat can still start. We say this plainly because many chat sites don't.

Indian evenings, roughly 8 pm to midnight IST, and weekend afternoons are when most people are online, so matches come fastest then. Late at night India time you are more likely to meet people from Europe or the Americas, which suits you if you are practising English or curious about other countries.
