Can I random chat without a camera?

Yes, many platforms offer text-only random chat that requires no camera at all. Genzigs is designed as a text-only platform — no camera access needed, no video, just pure text conversations with anonymous avatars.

Is text-only random chat popular?

Very popular. Many users prefer text-only chat because it offers more privacy, works in any environment, requires no setup, and lets people connect based on conversation quality rather than appearance.

Why choose text over video random chat?

Text chat offers complete visual privacy, works in public spaces, uses minimal data, requires no camera permissions, removes appearance anxiety, gives time to compose thoughtful responses, and is more accessible across devices and connection speeds.

Do I need a webcam for Genzigs?

No, Genzigs is entirely text-based. No webcam, microphone, or camera access is ever needed. You chat through typed messages with an anonymous avatar representing you — maximum privacy with zero hardware requirements.

Is no-camera chat safer?

Yes, text-only chat eliminates several safety risks: no chance of being recorded on video, no exposure of your appearance or surroundings, no risk of inappropriate visual content, and no way to be identified through facial recognition.

What devices work for text-only random chat?

Text-only random chat works on any device with a browser and internet connection — smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and even some smart TVs. No special hardware like a webcam or microphone is required.

Can I have meaningful conversations without video?

Absolutely. Research shows text-based conversations often lead to deeper, more authentic connections because people focus on ideas and personality rather than appearance. Many long-lasting online friendships begin through text-only platforms.

How much data does text-only chat use?

Text-only chat uses negligible data — typically less than 5 MB per hour of active chatting. Compare this to video chat which uses 500 MB to 1.5 GB per hour, making text chat ideal for limited data plans or slow connections.
